About Me

My name is Edith Chan. I am a designer and illustrator based in Seattle, USA. I love dreaming, writing and drawing. Pencils and paint brushes are my magical wands giving my imaginations form. I was born and brought up in Macao, the first and the last European colony in China. Living in Macau gave me the opportunity to explore western and eastern arts. I have spent most of my life in this little city, until 2007 I moved to the United States and started this blog to document my adventure in America. You don’t have to be a Blogger or Google member to leave comments. Please take a moment to let me know you were here. Thank you and have a beautiful day!

Small Gift, Big Smile

Today I decided to open a new category for the lovely gifts that I received from my dearest friends and family, for these gifts, regardless of their size or value, have warmed my heart, made me smile, and lightened my days.

SNV32198 An adorable Hello Kitty mechanical pencil from Mason, my best study companion ever.

SNV32193Pair of Stitch mobile phone slings from lovely Eli. Aren’t they cute?

SNV32680 Hello Kitty grand birthday presents from Jenny and Lori. I felt like winning a grand price from a lucky draw when I got the present.

SNV32690 Professional drawing tablet, a birthday present, from Mason. With this, I am going to experiment more on digital painting next quarter. Stay tuned for my new pieces. I am going to open another category about drawing. I promise.

SNV32685A Music, light-up and pop-up birthday card from Redmoon via airmail. When you press the button at the top right corner, the card will light up in red and yellow at the candles, in time to an English and Japanese birthday music, as if those adorable animals were throwing a birthday party for you. It is the cutest card I have ever received.

SNV32688A Rilak Kuma tissue box and a mobile phone holder. If you look at it carefully, you will see it is a berries cake ( including blue berries, red berries, and strawberries). I found them during my China trip in Macau last summer. Somehow I couldn’t get my eyes off them when I saw them in the display window, so it ended up being a birthday present for myself ;P
